Our club is by invitation only. We get many of our novice participants from our Small Fry Program, however if you want to join the club we will more then happy to have you join a practice session and evaluate your wrestlers for participation in our club. To join a practice, please contact Jesse Blount at (847)452-8023.
  • Does my son or daughter have to participate in tournaments
Only if they want to. If you child is just interested in practicing and getting to know the sport of wrestling it is up to you and your child if they want to participate in tournaments. Wrestling tournaments are a great way to continue to learn and develop as a wrestler, and we do encourage wrestlers to try tournaments.
  • What is the difference between the Novice and Upper groups?
Novice group is for wrestlers that are new to the sport who have been invited to participate in the club. These are typically wrestlers with less than three years experience, and are typically under 8-9 years old. The Upper group is for our seasoned wrestlers who have been on the mats for 3+ years and who typically are looking for advanced instruction and techniques.
  • Can I watch my wrestler practice?
Unfortunately, no. We prefer all parents remain outside of the room during practice times. This eliminates distractions for our younger wrestlers and helps them stay focused on the technique being taught.
  • How much do tournaments cost?
Tournaments typically cost around $25 for each participant. The club will communicate the tournament schedule early in the season and will post information for tournaments on our Facebook page and on the WWC website.
  • Are your coaches Safe Sport Certified?
Yes, Each of our club coaches must take and pass the Safe Sport courses through USA Wrestling.
